OUR STORY
Dragonflame Candles was launched in 2021 after over a year of hard work and big dreams. We are a small company located in Stapleford, Nottingham and all of our candles and melts are made onsite in our home studio.

But how did we come to be? And why?
History
Hi there! I'm Emma and I am the founder of Dragonflame Candles. In 2019 I was drawing closer to a big goal of mine of becoming a self-published author. Never without a candle by my side during creative writing sessions, I stumbled across book-themed candles. They’ll go nicely with my novel, I thought to myself. And so the journey began!
I delved deep into the world of wax and professional candle-making. I started to surround myself with experienced chandlers, performed countless experiments, and invested heavily in equipment, stock, and raw materials. And in February 2021, Dragonflame Candles opened!
It was so exciting to finally reveal our products and hear how you loved the simplicity of our designs and the strength of their scents. We attended craft shows, expanded our range, and began our social media journey.
Eight months later, In October 2021, my partner Josh and I moved from Kenilworth, Warwickshire to Stapleford, Nottingham. With a bigger candle studio, Dragonflame Candles has much more room to take on new, gorgeous projects which I can't wait to share.

The art of chandlery requires creativity and passion—something that machines don’t possess, but we do! We don't cut corners, and we ensure that our products have a strong fragrance, filling any room with an unmistakable Dragonflame experience.

By purchasing a Dragonflame candle or melt, you’re supporting a homegrown business. You’re helping us invest in new ideas and future products—and we have plenty of exciting ideas to explore. These include tin container candles, book-inspired candles, new scents, and many more products!

Being a small business, we have the power to give you the opportunity to shape the products you want. We love interacting with our customers through social media, involving you in the behind-the-scenes and product designs, and we also have a dedicated Make A Wish section for candles or melts you’d like to see us produce. This unique opportunity to influence our products is something you won’t get in larger stores and we’re proud to be able to offer it.
